Many of Libby’s designs are influenced by the tropics. And
why not, that is where she and husband Mike live. Libby’s
creative and unique style is due in large part to their
beautiful South Florida surroundings and numerous trips to the
Florida Keys and Key West.
Why are the designs unique? Because, each and every piece is
completely painted by hand from beginning to finish. No
airbrushes or paint guns here, only a Jimmy Buffett CD playing
in the background to provide inspiration. You just might see the
brush strokes if you look hard. They provide the uniqueness to
the products and are an indication of the detail that goes into
the work.
Mike begins the process by applying two coats of a leading
primer/sealer to each piece which is made of treated wood. Libby
then goes to work on her designs using a high grade exterior
latex paint which retards fading and cracking. Once Libby’s
artwork has dried, Mike completes the piece with a Spar/Marine
varnish which protects the art and chair from the elements. The
marine varnish provides a UV protection as well as having the
ability to expand and contract to minimize cracking or peeling.
That means they can be placed outdoors as well as indoors.
Most of the Adirondack chairs fold. But special order
non-folding chairs can easily be done. Order your chair, stool
or table by name or call Libby and discuss your request.
Check out the sports themes. What a nice gift for the sports
fan in your life. Possibly you have an idea of your own? Call
Libby to discuss your idea and watch it come to life.
These products are painted with care and pride. With regular
